Glow

As you might of noticed that after my last message only a matter of days ago, I was wrong! I just remembered that I did this little bit of work below a while back.

Glow Logo

It’s a logo for a new Java script library which should be live real soon. The main idea is that it works both as an icon, like a favicon and as a full logo.

So for all you CSD out there, hopefully this will come as a useful sorce of sweet code!

A New BBC TV

30th Sep 08, there's 2 comment(s)

When we were given the brief to redesign the new channel sites we were also asked to update the bbc/tv site. It’s quite an important site, as it’s the only place were you can see all the TV channels together, from BBC One to BBC Parliament.

BBC TV

What was so important about this site is that all the channels are given the same billing, so we had the idea of placing them all across the top, so that none are hiden, unlike the last version, this also can act as a level of …

Channels, Channels and more Channels

Why do only one when you can do all four at once. Welcome to a new exciting world of channels websites with live streaming (well Three and Four, with One and Two following soon). To find out more and also see what people think, check out Dan Taylor’s blog.

BBC Four

I am now the master of BBC channel sites, FACT. It is just over two years with the BBC now and I have designed and redesigned all the channels sites, this is my 7th channel launch and hopefully the last for a while, perhaps …

Three…but slightly better.

29th Sep 08, there's 1 comment(s)

Now this doesn’t happen that much at the BBC but there’s always a first and luckily BBC Three was the one chosen. In only a few months from the first launch of the new website (Feb 08), we have re-launched it with new navigation and small little improvements.

BBC Three

So what are the new changes I hear you asking! Well, we started off by sorting out the navigation, moving it from the right and placing it across the top to match the other channel sites, then we updated the main flash video wall to make …

Strictly

Another year and another strictly design but this time it’s all altermated thanks to Audio & Music and my fellow designers from Vision with our b templates.

Strictly Come Dancing

Nothing really new from the the last design, still looks the same but now it’s been placed in the new BBC page template and structure. You can still catch up on the latest episeode on iPlayer, catch up on the latest news and get involved by joining the discussions on the messageboards.

The new templates are so useful, to get these types of site up and out quickly, with so …

Farin’s Online

28th Apr 08, there's 1 comment(s)

Another quick entire, to show you Farin Roberts new site which I designed last week. As I have no time at the moment (with weddings and stags), I wasn’t sure I would have time to design the site but in the end a spare hour or so popped up and I was able to produce this design.

Farin Roberts

Main thing to think of here was the video, which I couldn’t change, apart from colour, so in the end I subdued it (so it doesn’t stand out), along with the picture. All nice and clean, with …

Out Of The Blue

Just a quick post before I hit the pub, to add a new website that went up the other day. Designed this site for the up coming Aussie show Out of the Blue, which apparently is a soap/murder mystery, what ever that is?! Not much to say really, meet the cast, watch some interviews etc etc…

Kermode Uncut

Yet again another piece of work that’s been up for ages and only now do I write about it! No worries, if you haven’t seen this yet Kermode Uncut but where have you been?

Kermode Uncut

This is a video blog for Mark Kermode where each week he either reviews a new film or just talks about what he’s been up to with his band the Dodge Brothers.

As this was the first video blog for the BBC it was an important design task to bring all the great work which Mark does across the …

1, 2…..THREE

13th Mar 08, there's 2 comment(s)

Welcome to the all singing, all dancing BBC Three…oh and it has a web site as well! This is it, the big bit of work which has engulfed most of my time for the last 3 months and delayed my already slow blogging skills.

BBC Three

So what new about BBC Three, well a lot actually. Under the new remit to make the channel truly multi-platform one of the key areas that need to be put right was to give the channel a good home on bbc.co.uk. One of the key aspects of this, …

Oliver

Just quick post for another Saturday Night BBC ONE show coming this weekend, on the 15th March, to find the next Nancy and Oliver in I’d Do Anything, for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s stage show Oliver!

Iíd Do Anything

I know it looks like some of the other work I’ve already put up (dark and shinny) but this should be one of the last like this for a while, as you will see in my next post.

I kept the same layout from Strictly for this site. It’s a great way of showing the latest video clips …
